Old English sheep dogs are bred for assistance in herding livestock. Its origin is from Kingdom of England. They make good pets and companion. Bob, bobtail or OES are few alternate names or nicknames of old English sheep dog.

Features of OES dogs: large, stocky and well muscled build; head is large and square fully covered with hair; eyes are blue or brown or one eye blue and other brown; ears small and flat; large and black nose; generally born as tailless or tail is amputated when it is puppy; double coat is long and with coarse hair and a soft undercoat,; coat comes in many color like blue, gray, bluish gray with white markings.

Qualities and temperament of OES dogs: gentle and loving, famous as teddy bear, intelligent, friendly, playful, and loyal. Weight of OES dogs is about 70 to 100 pounds and height is about 22 inches. Average life span is around 10 to 12 years.
